Davey Bobzin
Davey Bobzin (Philip Lombard): “And Then There Were None” is Davey’s third production with BRP. He would like to thank BRP for the opportunity, the cast for goofing off with him, Warren Frank for his patience, the crew’s support, and mom and dad for deciding kids were a good idea. Special thanks to Malia, Madalyn, Korben and Liam for allowing him to leave the house to go pretend.

Davey Bobzin (Lenny Ganz) Davey has enjoyed acting before he even knew what acting was. He still remembers the days when it was called pretend. “Rumors” is Davey’s second production with the Brass Rail Players. He is very thankful to meet yet another interesting cast and director. He would like them to know he has learned much from them.

Davey Bobzin (Count Dracula) - Davey Bobzin of Mascoutah has always had a problem with drifting off into the land of Pretend. He grew up in a rural area with plenty of woods and farmland. This open space provided a large stage. The heroes, or villains, of the movies and storybooks came to life there. When he was asked to play a woodsman by one of his elementary teachers, he was confused by what she meant. Once he understood what an actor was, he was hooked. Each time a chance to perform came up, he figured out a way to get in. Throughout elementary and high school, he performed various characters, but found that his favorite characters were the weird ones. Even if it was a supporting character with no lines, he was fine with that. Davey has performed at Southwestern Illinois College in “The Fantasticks,” “Last Days of Good Ol Bill,” “All of Us One,” “Cinderella” (a radio play) and many short plays for the children’s touring theater group. His most recent performance was Papa Bear for the Itty Bitty Theatre Company in Belleville, at Art on the Square. After calling it quits for years and having the itch to return to theatre, “The Passion of Dracula” marks his first play for this decade. And he’s loving it. He would like to thank his daughter, Madalyn, for her persistence in getting him to audition and the joyful support she has shown.
